Knowing how to hit these shots on the course will help to keep you from making a bogey and saving par.
Here are some simple steps on how to execute a downhill lie:
1) Level your hips by bringing your trailing (higher) foot back
2) Play the ball off your trailing foot and aim the club face and shoulders slightly left
3) Tilt your shoulders in-line to the slope and swing down the slope
For an uphill lie, just reverse the process. Example: Bring your leading (higher) foot back and play the ball off your higher (leading) foot. Aim slightly right of your target. Tilt your shoulders in-line with the slope and swing up the slope.
