Proper Practice Improves Performance

Hitting balls over and over again without a plan is just exercise, and most likely you will be ingraining poor habits and setting yourself up for injury.

If you want to improve your game, improve how you practice. Proper practice improves your performance.

Always have a plan when you practice.  Swing drills, assigned by your golf professional, are a great way to repeat the proper motion. There are many swing drills that can be practiced inside without hitting balls.

When you’re at the range, practice the drill with 8-10 reps without a ball. Next take 5 swings implementing the drill with a ball. Assess your progress. Repeat the process until you are satisfied with your performance.

If you do not see any improvement after a couple of sets, it’s possible that you may be doing the drill incorrectly.
